CMM
A coordinate measuring machine (CMM) is a device used for measuring the physical characteristics of an object, such as its size, shape, and orientation. It does so by using a probe that is guided along the surface of the object, and the machine records the precise coordinates of the probe in 3D space. These coordinates are then used to create a digital model of the object, which can be analyzed and compared to the desired specifications. CMMs are commonly used in industries such as manufacturing and engineering to ensure that parts are produced to the correct specifications and tolerances.
