Articulated Arms
The 3D measuring arms, also known as articulated arms, are mobile coordinate measuring instruments (CMMs). The articulated arms record the 3D position of a probe in space and send the results to a PC software.
The FaroArm is a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM), providing manufacturers with easy verification of product quality for a variety of tasks, including 3D inspections, tool certifications, CAD comparison, dimensional analysis, reverse engineering, and much more.
At WAM we use FaroArms for our measurements. We offer services such as quality control, tool certifications, CAD comparison, 3D inspection and verification of small to large size parts and fixtures in our workshop or on site. The information is recorded on either Polyworks or PowerInspect software where we create reports for our customers.
